Selamat Hari Raya Haji!

Selamat Hari Raya Haji! Today is public holiday but I'm resting at home updating my blog :p Dun feel like going out today probably due to the rainy season. What a nice weather to have a good nap later... :) Anyway it has been raining for almost 4 days... miss the sunny weather now. Currently, my living room & balcony are full of damp clothes... (-_-!!)

Anyway, I've mentioned in my previous blog that I will post some of my HK pics. So, here they are....Enjoy.... (Sorry for dragging so long, only managed to find time to post them today.)

Day 1 (29/12/05)

Thanks Chester (My sis's bf) for sending us to the airport.

Reached airport @ 11.30am, have my lunch at Burger King.

Make our way to the gate. (Introducing Mark and Dave!)

And... (The gal in white is my 3rd sis, Val! Yah.. I know she is taller than me...)

The flight take off at abt 1.30pm and after 3-1/2 hours of flight... we finally reached HKIA @ 5pm. The weather over there was ranging from 17 to 21 degree celsius, similar to Genting Highland.

While the guys went to the toilet, I managed to get my sis to take a pic for me in the airport.

Getting to the hotel is a challenging task for us. Even though the hotel did provide us with the hotel transport service in the airport but it is charged at abt HKD90 pax. So to save cost, we decided to take train instead! It's convenient but have to changed train thrice & walk for abt 5 mins to reach our hotel. And the time spent from airport to our hotel is about 45 mins to 1 hour!

Proudly present the hotel that we stayed for the 5 days trip. If anyone is interested to go HK, I will recommend this hotel to u. Good service, quite spacious room compared to other hotels in HK, affordable prices especially whent there is promotion and lastly convenient location!

Anyway, I booked this hotel room online and we were given to stay in the VIP Floor :x

First day of our trip, we juz walked to Mong Kok area to shop around. We even went to the ladies street & Fa Yuen Street to look for things.. but end up din bought much things. Cos we thought that there will be some other better stuffs in other areas... (Do not have this kind of mindset, if u see smthg that u like, juz choose & buy... Dun hesitate too much... if not will waste time & will regret afterward! From my own experience.) Anyway the 2 guys bought shoes at the Fa Yuen Street so that they can go far... if not by the end of the 5th day I think their feet won't be able to make it! Keke.. After our shopping, went back to our hotel & have our dinner at the nearby coffeeshop.

Day 2 (30/12/05)

Woke up at abt 8am to brush up.. well since I need the longest time to wash up myself.. so I have to be the first one to rush to the bathroom.. while the others still sleeping sound like piggy..

Dave's HK Friend, Tino met us in our hotel room at about 10.30am. He brought us to one of the typical HK cafe restaurant for breakfast at the Mong Kok Area. After that, he brought us to his residential area at HK Island, Causeway Bay for a shopping spree. First station he brought us to the Times Square...to see the supermarket that sell all japanese foods.. and a bookstore that sell all those unique stationery.

Hahaha.. see Dave with the funny winter hair plus a ear muff :x He look weird...

After shopping for awhile... we went for a quick lunch at Causeway Bay...
Oh well.. I miss the food over there.. *Drooling*
Image hosted by Photobucket.com

On our 2nd day we spent the whole day shopping in Causeway Bay. I think I spent most of the times looking for boots. Haha.. I know the 3 guys are super sian but they still accompany us to look for nice & cheap boots... Finally me & my sis managed to buy one pair of boots each.

At evening, Tino left us and went to meet his parent for dinner. As for us, we then make our way to Espirit Warehouse at Tsim Sha Tsui. keke.. Bought myself a skirt & a long sweater for my sis. As for the guys... they went to look for their own stuffs. Since all of us were too tired to walk any further, we juz went to the nearby McDonald to have our dinner. Haha.. poor dave & mark were both tricked by Tino, who has told them that HK McDonald has pork burger. End up, the menu over there is almost the same as SG one. :x Went back to our Hotel quite early, was supposed to have a good rest, but dun know who suggested to play poker card game... and ended up, all of us slept at 1am.. :x Anyway, it's fun becoz the nxt day, our breakfasts were sponsored by Mark, who is the loser of the game!

Day 3 (31/12/05)

Woke up quite early as usual. Meeting Esther, my Hk friend to have breakfast at Mong Kok area. She brought us to a chinese restaurant for dim sum.

1st Pic: The bowl of tea is for us to wash our cups, small bowls, spoons and chopsticks before we start our meal. Oh ya.. and we learnt from Esther that.. normally we are given a small bowl with a small plate underneath. In HK, pple normally put the food inside their bowl as for the unwanted stuffs such as bones or tissue will put at the sides of the small plate.

Another of my HK Friend, Theresa, also joined us for breakfast. After our breakfast, we splitted up into 2 groups. The gals will be shopping in Mongkok area whereas the guys will be going to Lai King to shop for their toy weapons. Is fun to shop with the gals.. at least I din feel that stressed when shopping with them :) Bought a lot of my winter clothes for my Japan trip... and saw a lot of cheaper & nicer boots at Mongkok too. An hour later, gathered up with the guys again at Arglye Centre.

Haha... which information counter will u go to?

In the evening, accompanied Esther to Allied Plaza, which is near our hotel, to buy some guys clothes for her BF. After that, Esther brought us to a chinese restaurant which is situated near her sch to have our dinner. She helped us to order the food but left after that. Becoz she is going home for dinner.

Pics taken in her sch... Well.. is my 2nd visit to her sch... but everytime has a different kind of feeling. Noticed that a lot of students were in winter wear now... The last time I went, was in Sep 2004 (Summer). It has been more than a year but then the sch entrance still remained unchanged.. And this time round, I'm with more fun-loving & crazy pple. Keke...

(Did u see me wearing my boots? Anyway every gals in HK dressed up like this. But if it is in SG, I think many pple will stare at my dressing!)

With that, end our day in Ocean Park!
Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Back to Causeway Bay to shop a while before going to the Victoria Peak.
Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Wanted to have our dinner @ Yung Kee Restaurant which is famous for their Roast Pigeon... But ended up eating in a the cafe restaurant that is opposite Yung Kee. But the food over the restaurant is nice & cheaper too! But we still managed to pack 2 Roast Pigeon from Yung Kee & decided to bring it up to the Peak to eat.

After walking, asking and searching like more than half an hour, we finally got to the Peak Tram. See our tired look. But the queue was too long esp when it was a public holiday in HK. So ended up we took a cab up to the Peak... which turn out to be much cheaper & faster than taking the tram.
Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Finally we reached the Peak! Nice night view of HK... Still the same as the last time I came. The only difference is that they have changed the place of the viewing area. I still prefer the previous one which is now in renovation.
Image hosted by Photobucket.com

After that, we all took a cab again & went to Queen Pier for the sake of Mark, who wanted to fulfil his childhood dream by having a pic of Queen Pier that he has been seen in most of the TVB HK Drama Show.
Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Haha... different posture with the same building.
Image hosted by Photobucket.com

At the end of the day, we took a ferry back from HK Island to Kowloon Island.
Image hosted by Photobucket.com

But that hasn't really end our day yet, we still went to Ladies Street for our last minute midnight shopping & have a supper at a roadside food stall... They look hungry, aren't they?
Image hosted by Photobucket.com

And we even tried the famous "Smelly Beancurb"

Day 5 (02/01/06)

Last day of our HK Trip. Woke up quite early to have breakfast in Mido Cafe situated at the Temple Street. This cafe has been aired in one of the Channel 8 Program when introducing HK. Even Msia Newspaper has wrote an article about it. So we decided to give it a try.

Came across this... Don't you find it familiar?

Finally, we've reached Mido Cafe!

Having heard of their Exotic Lemon Coffee, Dave decided to give it a try despite his stomach might not be able to take it.

During the 80s & 90s, temple street is famous for the prostitution business but now...

After our breakfast, we then quickly headed back to our hotel to take our coaches to the airport. However, due to the breakdown of the coache, we were been arranged to take a private car provided by the hotel management to the airport instead. Haha.. I think Concourse really provide a good customer service!
