Friends have been asking me why I never blog about my pregnancy. Frankly speaking, I have been keeping a record of my whole pregnancy journey just that I chose not to publicise it. I wanted to wait until my pregnancy condition is stable first before I share my experience with you all :)
Just a quick update! Currently, I'm 22 weeks pregnant & the following post will be based on the journey of my first trimester.

Tuesday, 23rd Feb 2010 (6W 6D Old) - My Little Gem
Tested positive reading from a home pregnancy kit last wednesday, 17th Feb together with my hubby. My intuition is correct! There's really a small life forming inside me :) Both of us are thrilled when we know the result!
It's shown POSITIVE!
But on the 20th Feb, sat night I started to realise there's spotting and I know I have to go & see a gynae once I get back to SG!
So yesterday after my work, my sis accompanied me to a nearby neighbourhood gynae clinic & the gynae says that I'm been naughty to wait till I see spotting then came to see him :x But I am in Misa throughout the whole CNY so Monday night is the earliest day I can make it to the gynae :p
Anyway doc did a scanning for me & he told me that my little gem is 6 weeks & 6 days old! (Initially I thought only 4 weeks plus :x) And I can see the little heart pumping :) But becoz of the spotting, Doc advice me not to break the news to others first because first trimester is a crucial period & anything can happen :(
I'm also forbidden to travel in & out Msia for the time being, not even to mention to have my honeymoon trip this year. Well for the sake of my baby, I'm willing to forgo all these becoz my baby's health is the priority now.
After hearing his words, I also think that it's better for me to zip my mouth first and hoping my little gem can pass through this critical 12 weeks...
Now taking some of the medi he prescribe to me. God, please let my little gem survive through this critical 3 months. *Pray hard*
Wednesday, 24th Feb 2010 (7W Old) - A Sleepy Mum-to-be
Am getting more & more sleepy as each day passed despite having more than 10 hours of sleep last night. My eyes are so droopy that it can close any time.
Nauseous feeling is not getting any better even though Doc has prescribed anti-nauseous pill for me to take everyday before my meal.
How I wish I can don't come to work & have a good rest at home.
Thursday, 25th Feb 2010 (7W 1D Old) - Counting down to 12 weeks!
Look likes more & more pple can guess that I'm preggy (probably due to my outbreak & fatigue face). Went to Big Aunt's place for steamboat last night at Tampines. Am so shocked that she actually guessed that I'm preggy just by one look of me.
I'm wondering are my early pregnancy symptoms so obvious to others? Hmm... must think of a way to be discreet then. Baby, please forgive mummy over this because I'm trying my best to protect you :) After 12 weeks, I will officially announce your presence.
Brown stain discharge is coming on & off which is making me quite anxious over it. Have been trying by all means to rest well & avoid much movement as possible just for the sake of my baby. How I wish the time can pass faster & I can get over with the 1st trimester.
Baby, jia you together with mummy ok? *sayang sayang*

Read a lot of information regarding early pregnancy & foods to avoid during these period! No more raw foods & vege for me :(
Monday, 1st Mar 2010 (7W 6D Old) - Getting obvious!
Well, most of our family members & friends have realised the existence of my little gem :) Thanks for all the blessing that you have showered us, we are really grateful :)
Brown stain discharge can't seem to cease yet still having it on & off. Last night, it look quite heavy to me & I'm got a shocked! So this morning, I quickly rushed down to the neighbourhood gynae to check my little gem.
Glad that my baby is doing well... Gynae explain that brown spotting is better than getting red blood spotting, so he told me not to worry too much. But anyway, I was still given a jab :(
It's worth it coz it's all for baby! :)
Now I finally have a peace of mind :) Can't wait for the upcoming appointment at TMC, this gynae seems to be quite popular.. heard that need to wait at least an hour in order to see her. Hopefully, she is as good as recommended :p
Hopefully I will remember to tell her that I've slipped & fall down when I'm 4 wks preggy! I keep forgetting about this incident whenever I saw the ultrasound scan of my baby :p
Thursday, 4th Mar 2010 (8W 2D Old) - Skin problem
Went to see a skin doc yesterday :( Before I got pregnant, I'm already prepared that I will have pimples & acnes on my face once I'm pregnant. And bingo! My intuition is so right! Now my whole face is covered with pimples & acnes. Well for my baby sake, I have to endure it.
I know it will get over real soon once my hormones level has settled down. But the only thing that I did not foresee is that I actually getting Eczema (a type of rashes) too around my whole neck!! My skin is so dry & itchy & flaky to me now. Doc advised me that I have to use mild body wash since my skin is so sensitive at the moment.
Shall endure with all these sudden changes. Now I finally realised to be a mum, you really have to prepare to face alot of changes. Mummy is the greatest! :)
Thursday, 11th Mar 2010 (9W 2D Old) - 1st Visit to TMC
Had my first gynae visit at TMC (Thomson Medical Centre), feel so great to see so many preggy ladies & of coz cute little new born babies :) Well, my gynae is Dr Wong from ACJ Clinic. Kind of attached to the environment coz the staffs there, all seems very friendly & helpful
Dr Wong also give quite a detailed briefing of my pregnancy journey like what will I experience & what tests to do for the nxt following months. Really looking forward to my nxt visit over there :) Another good thing is I get to see my bb again! BB is now 9 wks & 5 days old! This time round I was given a scan pic of my bb. Now bb is 2cm long & really glad that bb is growing well.

Friday, 12th Mar 2010 (9W 3D Old) - Moodswing
Today I feel real moody... no particular reason. Just a feeling of moody or probably due to the nauseous & my backache :( Yes, I know I should be a happy mum now but I juz can't help it to feel moody :(
So hard to explain the feeling or maybe I miss my hubby too much :(
Thursday, 25th Mar 2010 (11W 2D Old) - Growing!
BB now is 11 wks old! :) Can't wait to see him/her nxt wk during my check up with BB's daddy. It will be Daddy's first trip to the gynae with Mummy! Yeah! :D
Monday, 29th Mar 2010 (11W 6D Old) - God Bless Him!
Oh No... BB's daddy is not feeling well. Very scared that he is contracted with dengue fever. If he can't recovered these few days means that this wed, Mummy has to go to the gynae alone again :(
But can really see that BB's daddy can't wait to join us but due to the sudden fever... sighz... Well BB, we must pray for ur daddy ok? So that he can get to see you this wed!
Tuesday, 30th Mar 2010 (12W Old) - Our prayers heard!
BB, I think God hears our prayers! Your daddy is coming out tonight & accompany mummy to the gynae tmr! Keke... is his first trip to the gynae. I think daddy must be real excited about it :)

Thursday, 1st Apr 2010 (12W 2D Old) - Happy April's Fool!
Just ignored the title, the below content is serious one! Hopefully the nurse from ACJ is not joking with me! The OSCAR Result is out & I was told that everything is normal! So happy to hear that :)
Yesterday, it's our first trip to the gynae with BB's Daddy! Hubby really took good care of me. He even bought me a small bottle of fresh milk just in case I'm hungry while waiting for the test :)
During the scanning, Hubby was told to wait outside while I'm lying down on the bed doing the scan. Din really get to see the bb yet coz the nurse din show me the screen but I do feel relieved when the nurse says bb is growing at a normal rate.
After that, the nurse asked Hubby to come in to the room & the screen was pushed to our direction. Finally, can get to see our little gem together for the first time! BB now is 5 cm long. Can see BB's arms & legs already and are kicking away. BB even raised up one of his/her hands to us :)

The nurse also shown us the strong heartbeat sound of BB. It's really a miracle feeling to see a life forming inside my body :) Hubby looks really happy to see his BB too!
After the scanning, I then went to do OSCAR test. Extracted 3 test tubes of blood samples for the test & the nurse really had a hard time finding my veins :x
Ok one test is down, we can't wait for our next visit end of this month! It's the week that we can know about bb's gender! Boy or Girl, make a guess? Keke...
Anyway, this is me when I'm 3 months preggy! The tummy still look not very obvious back then :)

Tuesday, 20th Apr 2010 (15W Old) - A Growing me :)
Baby bump starting to appear, but some of my friends still think not very obvious on me :p Well, as usual every night before I sleep, I'll try to take some time & have a chat with BB. And I think I can start to feel BB's movement during one of the quiet night :)
Oh yah.. went shopping with hubby last sunday at Vivocity. Saw alot of babies stuffs... both of us feel so tempted to buy but we keep telling ourselves must control wait until the 20th week detailed scanning then we can start to shop for bb's stuffs :)
I even brought hubby to the harbourfront where they have this shop for baby swimming programme, then we get to see little babies swimming in the tub! So cute! Haha.. hubby commented the babies look very 辛苦 to have their neck lifted up by the neck float only :x
But somehow I feel that they look cute on it... Hahaha... And darling says he will go to search for this when he go China, probably can get at a cheaper price. Kiasu darling almost wanted to buy one neck float back for our unborn bb when the shop offer it at S$8 only :p But I stopped him!
Hahaha... really getting excited as days go by... can't wait to see our bb nxt wk :)
