A Mummy's Diary - Third Trimester

Wednesday, 14th July 2010 (27W 1D Old) - Beginning of my 3rd Trimester!

Yeah! Finally reached my 3rd Trimester! :) Now starting to count down to my D-Day which is less than 3 months time :) Kinda excited.  Hubby & I have been talking to our BB almost every night before we turn in.

And we have yet to finalize our bb's name yet :x  Look like naming baby can be quite a difficult task for us especially this is our first baby :)  And this coming sunday will be our first lesson with TMC on Parental Care!

Can't wait to attend the lessons!

Thursday, 15th July 2010 (27W 2D Old) - I can feel him!

Hahaha.. recently on the left side of my tummy near to the belly button, I can feel a pointy boney poking out :)  Went to do scanning the other day & was told by the gynae, it might be his knee cap :x

And today, I'm starting to feel his other part of his body... not sure where is it.. probably his buttock or shoulder? Anyway he is tickling me inside now, but I'm actually enjoying it.  Becoz it's really an amazing feeling of how a life is actually forming inside me =)

Sunday, 18th July 2010 (27W 5D old) - First Antenatal Lesson

Today, it's our first Antenatal lesson at AMK Hub with Mrs Wong Boh Boi.  Hahaha.. had a lot of fun & saw a lot of preggy mummies with their hubbies :) We are taught how to do the antenatal exercises, back care & postures.  Overall, it was fun! :)

Thursday, 22nd July 2010 (28W 2D Old) - 2nd Lesson

The attendance still as messy as the first lesson with so many last minutes turn up :x  Hubby specially came out & attend the lesson with me :) Can see that he looks very tiring but still manage to survive through the 2nd lesson! *Thumbs up* We are taught on other antenatal exercises today & some of the breathing techniques to be used during labouring.

Sunday, 1st August 2010 (29W 5D old) - 3rd Lesson

Happy Birthday to me!  Had booked a hotel room & will be going for birthday celebration in another few hours but before that, we need to go & attend our once a week antenatal class.  Look like the class attendance is improving with acceptable numbers of students :)  Seems like Mrs Wong really did her part in making sure the class is organized.  Today is more on the revision of the antenatal exercises that were taught in the 2 previous lessons.  We also introduced to types of the pain relief in labour.  Mrs Wong also shown us a video on child birth! 

We even noticed some of the mothers shed their tears while watching the video.  Probably I will be crying too when I'm in labour.  Crying in pain I mean :p

Monday, 2nd August 2010 (29W 6D Old) - Mixed Feeling~

Just spent a wonderful birthday with Hubby last night at Fairmount Hotel.  BB, we get to see you again this morning.  Glad to know that u're growing at a healthy rate :) Though Mummy seems to put on another 3kg again :(

But today also marks the day when ur great grandfather has left us to another world.  It's a pity that Mummy can't introduce him to you but we all know that he will always give us his blessing in heaven :)

Sunday, 8th August 2010 (30W 5D Old) - Constipation Day!

No more sitting on the ground! Finally get to sit on chairs with hubby when attending the lesson :) Today, we are taught how to handle a dummy baby :x For instance, diaper care, bathing the baby etc.  Haha.. Had so much fun! :)  We can't wait to handle our own baby :p

And guess what? Mummy almost fainted in the toilet just now.  Have been stucked in the toilet bowl for almost one hour & I saw BLOOD IN MY POO! Scare the hell out of me!  Must be these few days have not been consuming a lot of drinks & fibre & also due to the lack of rest (Been busy helping out in my grandpa's wake)

Sunday, 15th August 2010 (31W 5D Old) - Final Lesson!

Yeah, both Daddy & Mummy have finally graduated from our Antenatal Class!  We are taught on the benefits of breastfeeding which I really hope & pray that I'm determined to do it!  Also taught how to sterilise the feeding equipment.  Overall, I find that Mrs Wong is really a great & informative consultant! :) 

Never regret to go all the way to AMK Hub to attend her classes!  So nxt time, if any of you are giving birth at TMC or attending this kind of antenatal classes... can go for Mrs Wong! She's really good! :)

Saturday, 21st August 2010 (32W 4D old) - Diarrhea....

No more constipation but am suffering from food poisioning :\  Have been running to the loo in the middle of the night 4 times until my legs are wobbling... Managed to see a doc for some medication to stop the diarrhoea.  I'm feeling much better now after taking the medication.  Hopefully will be fine by tmr!

Tuesday, 24th August 2010 (33W Old) - Doctor's Talk

Attended a complimentary doctor's talk at Singapore Chinese Girl's school with hubby today.  We are amazed by the numbers of attendance :x  Seems like hubby really enjoyed the talk becoz after the whole thing, he actually commented that it's worth attending the talk & he really learnt new thing today :)

Saturday, 28th August 2010 (33W 4D Old) - Perineal Massage

Decided to give it a try today & OUCH! Can really feel the burning & tingling sensation!  Hopefully I'm doing the correct way! :x Will continue with it coz I really dun want an epistomy during my labour :( Bless me!

Friday, 3rd September 2010 (34W 3D Old) - Tan Yi Rui

Finally decided on his name! He shall be named as Tan Yi Rui =) Decided not to give him any Christian name as we always think that Chinese name sound more unique and he might not like the Christian Name we gave him when he grows up :x

Anyway, get to see BB, Yi Rui on Wednesday.  Good to know that he is growing at a healthy rate.  Me & Hubby really can't wait for his arrival but of coz we still hope that he will come out only when he has reached his full term which is another 1 month time.

Yi Rui is indeed shy that day.  We din really get to see his face during the scanning as he is back-facing us.  And when we finally managed to wait till he turns his face to us, who knows this little boy use his hand to cover his face (-_-!)

End up, we din manage to take a good picture of him during the scanning, which explain the blur image u see below :p

Have been experiencing mild contraction here & there recently & there is also an increase amount of vaginal discharge.  Hopefully, BB Yi Rui is not getting too excited to come out & see his daddy & mummy too soon.

Wednesday, 15th September 2010 (36W 1D Old) - Terrible Backache

Have been experiencing terrible backache these few days...  Didn't manage to have a good sleep nowadays, keep waking up in the middle of the night to pee.

BB, Mummy is going to meet you tmr with ur Big Aunt this time round as your Daddy is busy with work tmr.  But no worry, ur daddy's heart is always with us despite his busy work schedule :)

Hopefully, you are growing well and healthy inside :) Mummy really love the way you are kicking inside me now.

Thursday, 16th September 2010 (36W 2D Old) - On Alert!

Can't believe that I'm actually 0.5cm dilated today!  Dr Wong told me that my labour day might be brought forward to this week or next week coz she can even touch the bb's head already!  How excited now! :x  Well, she did a vaginal examination for me & after that I've been experiencing brown discharge at night.  Hopefully it's not what they say "the show" (refers to a blood-tinged mucous discharge from the vagina that indicates the onset of labor).  

I can feel my pelvic bones aching even when walking.  And I keep feeling my bb's head turning inside near the birth canal (my cervix).  Look like BB really can't wait to come out & see the world.  Well as usual, she did scanned a picture of our BB but becoz his head is already engaged at my vaginal so we can't really see his face anymore.  So, I'll not be showing his recent scan pic.  Yet again, I've gained weight.  Current weight is 61kg & BB's weight is about 2.5kg.  I think my weight increment is probably due to the water retention (self-consolation) :x

Saturday, 18th September 2010 (36W 4D Old) - Waiting Time...

Yesterday was my last day of work and finally I can go for a long long break :)  Initially, I still thought that probably I can still endure for another one more week but seems like I better stay at home & wait for my bb's arrival. 

Managed to call up the clinic to ask about my brown discharge.  I'm glad to hear that it's a normal symptom after every vaginal examination and this morning it seems like I'm back to normal again.  But still my aching pelvic is still not getting any better.  Getting up from bed & walking to toilet seems a tiring task to me now.  Yes, it hurts... Not every preggy women will experience this.  From what I know only minorities will feel the pain and I'm so "lucky" to be one of them.  Hopefully it won't get worst after my labour.  Hahaha.. while I'm typing this BB is kicking away again :)  

Nowadays my bowels system seem to be working hard as well.  I keep having the poo-ing sensation very often but nothing really came out.  Mum told me it might be a sign of labouring because last time when she gave birth to me she also experienced the same thing.  So does that mean my labour day will be these few days?  Hmm... But I really do hope that BB can come out when he has passed 37 weeks (full term week)
