Saturday (25/11/06)
Even though I'm on leave that day, but I still woke up quite early to prepare myself for my graduation ceremony. All the graduates have to reach Hilton Hotel @ 11am sharp to wear the robe and for a short rehearsal.
Took some pics in the student changing room before the ceremony.
We all look like lawyers, especially the 2 guys!

After the short rehearsal, we actually have about 45 mins to re-adjust our robe, motar board, make-up, be a narcissistic in front of the mirror and waiting for our guests to arrive. And as usual, my family were late again (expected). But luckily, they were still able to see me walk up the stage to get my cert. If not, it really defeat the purpose of them coming for my ceremony. However, my 3rd sis (the camera man that day) was so rushed that she din really take a GOOD shot of me going up the stage taking the cert :( Her hands were fidgeting until the pic taken was so blur that I don't even feel like putting up here. Moreover, I can't really see my face either :p
So after the collection of our certificates, as usual, a reprensentative of a fresh grad was sent up to the stage to give a speech, followed by the professors from Australia & not to forget Dr Lim (our CEO of AM). Is a good thing that the speech was not long enough to put my parents to sleep :x
After the speech, all the graduates were asked to stand up & walk out of the hall gracefully to take a group photo. And again, my sis failed me again. She din come into the hall to take the group photo becoz she is busy eating after the ceremony. (-_-!!)

And finally after the group photo, is our own photo taking time with our own friends & families. Can see a lot of graduates were rushing out of the room to look for their own guests :x And I received a lot of gifts (flowers & bears) from my families, relatives & darling.

Took some pics with my friends. Oh ya.. the gal beside me was actually my 2nd sis's kindergarten playmate!

With my siblings & granny!

I like this group of pictures becoz everyone is snatching my motar board & I think my granny really look cute wearing it! Haha... And I can sense that they are proud of me also :) And a good thing is that after this ceremony, both of my sisters told me that they feel like getting a degree too :p

After all the fun, here's a proper family photos but how come my granny keep having her eyes closed???

After the event, everyone were tired. So in the end, we all went straight home to take a good rest. And here I am again, taking pics with my lovely flowers & cutey bears!

Haha.. they are just too lovely that I can't resist but to take an individual pic for each of them. Firstly, the bear & flowers were given by my family, followed by the 30 roses were by my uncle & aunt & lastly, the custom-made bear was a gift from darling! Doesn't it look sweet?

Sunday (26/11/06)
A post birthday celebration for Lixin (Dave's sis) @ Victory Family Centre. It is really a "thumb up" birthday party! I have never attended such a "grand" birthday party before not even mine which was like 3 years back. Anyway, her birthday theme is "Shiny Bling", therefore every guest should be dressed up with all those shiny & shining bling bling clothes or accessories. There was even a best-dressed male & female competition for this theme.
Her birthday party started at about 1.30pm, but her family & I together with Elvin (her bf) actually reached there abt 11 am plus to clean up & decor the place & do some last minutes preparation.
See how neat is the table arrangement. There were about 8 tables nicely arranged for 80 guests that day. The candles & napkins decoration were all Lixin's ideas, which I find it very impressive. She is also very careful & thoughtful about all those decorations thing.

The birthday party was in buffet style & there is even a live band in the room.

She even hand-made 80 door gifts for her guests who attended her birthday party. It is really not an easy task! I'm really impressed by her good work & effort! There is even meaning for the brooch. The key & lock represent her for turning 21st, the star represent her name (Lixin) & the crown represent her being the queen after that day! :)

Here are the gifts & voting candles for the best-dressed competition! (I know is too dark to be seen)

Not to forget, Elvin (Lixin's bf) the performer of the day who is also the host of the party! He sang two sweet & lovely songs to Lixin. Especially the last song "Yong Qi" By Fish Leong. It really touches our heart when he looked into her eyes & sang to her. And most of us including me tear after hearing the whole song.

For the Best-Dressed Competition, guess what? Yah.. I am the nominees for that day (-_-!!) I really really didn't even have the slight thought of participating in this competition. I just dressed up normally to attend the party, thinking that there might be others who will dress up even more shining than me. But in the end, I think I am the MOST shiny one in that party & yah.. I got the most votes (@_@)! I'm really went stunt for a moment when I got chosen by the birthday girl. But anyway it was a fun competition. Haha...

Then is the cake-cutting time! See our dear birthday gal making her wishes & her bf standing besides her. They really made a good couple!

Picture taken with her family!

And how can we not have a couple pics for such a happy event!

Here's a clearer view of the best-dressed gift and I actually pinned the brooch on my office teddy t-shirt! Cute isn't it?

And this is for you... (pls don't mistaken the lamp is my gift for her, it is just a decoration on the reception table) But I do hope u like the ang bao, I gave u ;)

Although it has been a very busy & rushing wkend for me but it was a fun & happening one! Haha..And this coming wkend, there will be even more happening things coming up!
