Friday (01/12/06) - Chester & Xinyi's Solemnization
That day was the day when all of us gathered at Amara Hotel & gave our warmest blessings to the newly-wed couple (Xin & Chet).

Yes! It's my 2nd sis, Xin's solemnization & she has finally decided to settle down with her bf, Chet after 7 years of relationship. Becoz I'm the eldest among my siblings, so it is very unavoidable for my relatives & friends to ask me when is my turn. And that day, I have to repeat this "Not so fast yet, probably another 3 years" for umpteen times!
Even though that day was my sis's BIG DAY, but all of us (except the bride & bridegroom) still have to work since her dinner start at 7pm. However, I am given the privilege to leave at 3pm. I need the time to doll myself up & prepare some stuffs to decorate the table especially when I'm the receptionist on that day. Not only that, my 3rd sis, Val volunteered to be their photographer & kept them accompany from morning till her wedding end. And this is what Val took when she accompanied Xin for makeover service at International Plaza...

At the studio... Can you see the magic of make up?

This simple wedding dress is bought from "IS" & is really worth the $!

And this is my gift for her solemnization. Not to forget, Dave who has sponsored them a bottle of champagne & the door gifts for those married couples.

And *drum rolling* here come our blissful "Cinderella" =)

Although I've exceeded my doll-up time but Dave & me were still lucky to reach the hotel in time! However, our dear Host (Dave) was really nervous on that day. The reason is not becoz his first time hosting in a chinese-speaking solemnization dinner, but this is the first time when he is given an "un-instructed" task :x He is totally in confusion abt what to say and has to do a very last minute event rundown with the hotel coordinator. Fortunately, it was a very successful one. Not only that, we also need to thank our dear Mark for been their videographer unexpectedly.
I should say most of the guests were quite punctual becoz quite a number of them actually arrived 15 to 30 mins earlier before the event start. However, the JP (Justice of Peace) was late on that day, which is very common to see in every wedding dinner.
Here's a shot of my mum & me (Do we look like sisters?) @ the reception table
& a shot of my uncle (still single) with the newly-wed couple.

By 7.30pm, the guests were all seated comfortably to witness this memorable ceremony.

And by 7.35pm... the coupleslowly quickly marched in, led by a fast-walking flower girl (My 4th Sis, Jolyn).

Here's a pic of the JP & the couple. Alot of funny things happen during the ceremony especially when it is conducted in Chinese. The couple was so nervous that they kept saying the wrong answers. In the end, the JP also made fun at the both of them and we, the audiences also can't help it but to laugh as well :x

After the vows, these lovely couple exchanged their rings.

And followed by the official signing of the wedding certificate by the couple, their fathers & the JP.

Here's a picture of the couple with their parents & the JP.

The couples even got their ang baos from their parents as a form of blessing.
And my sis is posing her usual "Act-cute" Victory sign.

Immediately, followed by Champagne Fountain.

Of coz, not to forget the "Yum Seng" session.

A group photo of the couple with their bunch of good friends.

Dave: "All the unmarried ladies, please come forward. It's bridal bouquet toss time!"

Here's the lucky gal (Xin's friend, Sze Ni) who got the hand flowers & Dave was trying his best to ask this lucky couple some questions but then...they are just too shy :x

After waiting for a long time, Val & Me finally got the chance to take a pic with the newly-wed couple! Yes.. I know I'm the shortest among them :( But nvm, I look the youngest also due to my short height :p *self-consolation*

Haha.. here's a pic of hungry pple who can't wait to have their dinner.

See my poor darling become the hostage & that baddie Mark still want me to exchange him with my sis, Val. **Note: Storyline is written by me :)

To save my darling, I have no choice but to hand Val over to Mark :( However, it's good to see that the 2 of them get along quite well. Haha... :x

Here's a pic of the couple with their photographer(A friend of Chet's uncle). He is actually the one who helped in Lindy's wedding & my graduation.

Keke.. here's a shot of my D.I.Y hairstyle that night! Don't you think the flower is nice?

Here's their cert & Rings (they are just prop) :x

Lastly, wish Xin & Chet have a veryblissful relationship ahead. Hang on tight! Another 3 more years, your dreams will come true =)

After the solemnization dinner, Dave & me quickly rushed down to Jurong East for our former secondary school class gathering. Although we reached there around 10.30pm, but most of them were still bbq-ing. We are then welcomed by their cheers & hand claps and inevitably, we become their topic of the night. Both of us keep getting teased by them.
It is our first class gathering after 10 years! Noticed that all of us have grown up alot especially the guys...Voice & height changed tremendously!

Saturday (02/12/06) - The Seed Graduation Concert
That day was a very very tiring day for me especially when I have only less than 4 hours of sleep & have to wake up at 7am & get ready by 8am to meet Dave, Esther & some of their friends.
That day was (Dave's elder sister) Eunice's Childcare (The Seed) Graduation concert. So we being the helpers ought to reach JB very early to help her out in all the decoration & set up.
I'm quite amazed by the things we have done within 3 hours!

Here's some of the pics that they used to paste on the wallside along the staircase. They look cute, aren't they?

This very sweet "Thank you" photocard is to be given out to all the parents who came for the concerts. Of coz, we (the helpers) were also given one each :)

These young graduates have to queue up in a straight line before entering the auditorium.

Becoz this childcare is a family business, so Dave's family are the important people in this concert. Without them, "The Seed" won't exist today. Dave's mum also proudly introduced their newly launched website to all the guests. For more info on the website, please click on this link THE SEED

Here's are some pics of the performance on that day. Most of the kids are really talented & daring enough to perform in front of so many people. Personally, I think "Wu Shu" performance really leave a very deep impression on that day. Of coz, other performances were good too :) It's very heartwarming to see all the parents helping their kids to take photos & videos when they were performing onstage. It reminds me when I was still a young kid. But I'm not so fortunate if compared to them now. Becoz during my childhood day, my parents can't even afford to buy a camera to take down such a happy moment.

Here's a group singing performance from different levels (N1, N2, K1 & K2).

Haha.. this is what I noticed during one of the performances. I saw my drawings! Even though it appeared small but it is still big enough for me to capture from far.

Oh ya.. I saw this very very cute boy in the concert. But too bad, I only managed to capture a blur image of him :p

Lastly, here's a pic of the finale, where everyone including the parents were holding on the light sticks & swayed with the music.

After the concert, all of us together with Dave's family went for a dinner to celebrate the success of the concert & also as a form of awards to all the helpers :)
Sunday (03/12/06) - Lobster Feast
Woke up very early as usual, but I still didn't managed to sleep well on sat night probably due to the barking sound from Dave's dogs (abt 6 to 8 of them).
Had an early breakfast with Dave's family & friends (Jidi & Lily). After that, we all headed to their church for prayers. At around noon, we made our way to Sungai Renggit (It's about an hour ride from Kota Tinggi) for Lobster Feast.
An hour later, we finally reached the restaurant that was once aired in a Channel U programme hosted by Adrian & Michelle.

See the amount of dishes that we have ordered. 80% are all lobsters.

This dish is the most expensive among the others.

Anyone has tissues?

Can see that all of us really enjoyed our splendid meal that day!

Even though, we ordered alot of lobster but it is very affordable if compared to SG. It only costs RM590.00 for 9 people.
After a very Full lobster feast, Dave's dad brought us around to shop for Dragon fruits, "Dou Sa Bin" & not to forget the very famous Mango fruits...

First time in my life to see such a huge mango tree & dragon fruit tree!

Although I'm very tired, but I still enjoyed these 2 days trip alot & it was really a very "Fruitful" & relaxing trip! I guess this can be considered as my short getaway that I have been longing for.

Hmm.. I think I had too much lobsters that day. Now, I'm down with sore throat, blocked nose & cough :( This is the consequences for eating so much.
Hope u guys enjoyed my LONG post & not getting sore eyes after reading it :p
