As promised (donkey years back), I have finally finished editing my birthday pictures, though it has already been more than 3 months! In addition, I've added some other birthday pictures of my closest people :) So let's just enjoy...

Krissie's Birthday (August 2008)

Early Celebration at Home
As my birthday fall on the 1st of Lunar 7th Month, my superstitious family decided to celebrate my birthday 5 days in advance to my actual day :)


It's a very casual celebration at home and I'm still in my sleepwear while taking the pics!

Celebration with Cousin

We have known each other for 26 years,and guess what? This is the first time he says he want to treat me dinner for my birhtday! How can I be so selfish and don't invite my siblings to join us :x

So after work, we headed down to this famous Sushi Restauarnt, which is closing down end of this year. Reason being the boss is tired of handling so many customers :x So for those who wanna give it a try better hurry up! But please take note of the super duper long hour of queuing and not to forget about the boss's weird temper! We queued for almost 2 hours before we can start eating.

Celebration with Poly Besties
Dining at a cozy pasta restaurant near East Coast Road, recommended by Jia's then boyfriend. Sorry I can't remember the name of the restaurant, but I would say their service is good enough :) Will patronize again if there's chance :p

Celebration with Pri Bestie

Went to this restaurant located at Tanglin Mall for our lunch.


Known Connie since 7 years old. We actually grew up together & she will be holding her customary wedding dinner next year! Time flies....
She's much slimmer now compared to the pic here!

Here's our lunchie. I would rate 3 out of 5 stars :) The portion is too big until I can't finish mine.


You guys must be pondering how come there's no celebration with my bf. Actually there is but the pictures are inside Mr & Mrs Foong's camera :x Anyway we went to the Korean BBQ Restaurant at West Coast to celebrate Eunice & my birthday (we both shared the same birthday). Though the Korean BBQ is pricey, but I thnk that it's worth trying because it's authentic and you almost can feel that your stomach is bursting out after that meal!

Dave's Birthday (September 2008)
This is a very missionary birthday surprise. Everything have to be well-planned and SECRETIVE! We have to make sure there's no loopholes in our plan if not our super sensitive Dave will sure smell a rat.

1st mission, few days before his birthday I have to act ignorant & forgetful with regards to his birthday & make him think that I have totally forgotten about it and I succeeded!

2nd mission, a day before his actual bday, after my work, I need to go Dave's SG house to put his gifts and make sure he will be surprised when he saw my gifts on his bed that night when he is back to SG!

3rd mission, I have to bluff Dave that I'm not feeling well & will be sleeping whole day at home. I even got my siblings they all to help me out just in case he asked about me. But in actual fact, I have already planned going in Msia with his siblings to surprise him! Throughout the whole journey, we are so scared that we will bump into him on the road *Heart thumping fast* As there is no way of sleeping at home for the whole day, so immediately after I've reached his Msia's house, I borrowed his sister's laptop to go online & chat with him to tell him my condition :x I'm so pro right?

After dinner, all of us went back to SG. During our car ride, he kept asking me where's his birthday gifts from me? And I bluffed him that I didn't buy any this year and I can see disappointment in his face :x

By late night, when he reached his SG home & went into his room. The moment he switched on the light.. he ranged me up and shouted "AHHHH!"

And I replied "Surprise, darling! Happy birthday! :)"

That's not the end of the surprise yet!

Next day which is his actual birthday, this one is more tricky. I woke up quite early to decorate my car boot in order to surprise him. Throughout the whole day I have to make sure that he won't open up my car boot. I even have to think of a way to smuggle my cheesecake to my car boot without letting him know. It's a long story of how I succeeded, but in the end I still made it!

I'm actually the 2nd last in the game, that's why can't see my name :x

Since he is the winner of the game, we shall award him with...

I have to coordinate with everyone to make this "HAPPY BIRTHDAY" wordings

Finally, here's come our surprise finale...

Early dinner at Fish & Co Jurong Point where the staffs will make the birthday boy stand on his chair in front of the crowds!

I think Dave is too paranoid with our sudden surprises that he kept asking us if there's anymore surprises even though we've told him umpteen times there is no more for him! Haha...

Dad & Aunt's Birthday (October 2008)

I think the talent of surprising pple runs in the blood. During my dad's birthday, my mum actually surprised my dad with a buffet spread at our factory. My dad still thought someone in our factory wins TOTO or 4D. He keep asking who treat the buffet until my mum & granny shown up in the factory then he know it's a surprise for him :x

I think our workers also got influenced by us! One of our drivers even went down to Jurong Point to get my dad a birhtday cake & surprised him during our tea break!


We siblings together with mum decided to dine out and get my dad a very unique birthday gift this year since it's his 50th years old birthday.


Tada! This is what we actually got for him! I'm starting to eat grass already :x


Few weeks after my dad's birthday, it's my aunt's turn!

My sis & I specially went to Jurong point again during our lunch hour & bought her a cake to surprise her :)

Now I then realised it's the same cake as my dad after seeing the pic above! :x Except that it's a smaller version :)

Opps.. the cake is disfigured after a few cuts!
She is happy & glad to see the cake of course!
