Hi dearies... Long time no post!
Been kinda lazy in posting my blog lately or rather I'm too busy to blog since I've been travelling in & out msia quite often over the last 2 weekends.
1st weekend is to attend a dinner function at Genting & 2nd weekend is to help out Dave's mum for her childcare graduation & stayed over at Dave's KT place :) But too bad I didn't manage to take any pic during the help out as I'm walking up & down the whole time. But I would say the graduation ceremony is improving year by year. And I think the event organizer, John (Dave's brother) really done a great job! However after the event, he started to feeling unwell and yesterday I still drove him to hospital together with Dave's mum and the doctor said he has contracted with dengue fever. May god bless this young boy with good health & hope he will get well soon.
Anyway, I have some pictures to share with you guys :) They are the same as the one I've uploaded in my facebook. But not much description on those pictures so decided to post their "long stories" here.
These pictures were taken while we are driving up to KL Genting. Can you spot the "tapwater" hanging in the air? It's look kinda interesting to me :x The weather is quite good in genting except for some drizzling...
After the 3 hours car ride, we finally reached the Awana Resort, a resort for golfing lovers. The room considered 3 or 4 stars in my opinion. But the room is big enough for the 2 of us. In my opinion, Dave don't really like the room because it's a NON-AIRCON room! Probably most of the hotel rooms in genting don't have the aircon facilities to cut cost since they are already situated in such a cooling area.
Dave made quite a numbers of call to his friends in order to find the way to this resort. But I'm glad that we still make it in the end! Haha... Luckily we didn't get lost in KL. Even if we do, I think with Dave around, we sure can find our way out :)
Since we still have 4 hours before the dinner start, we actually make use of the time to watch tv and take a short nap. And we totally forget that we can actually go shopping in genting highland! What a waste... but I'm fine with that :) Save $$!
Time for the dinner function! We actually spent an effort to dress up smartly for this dinner even though it's nothing grand but to show our respect for the company. We feel that it's a need to be in a proper attire even though there are people in tee shirts & jeans :x
The next morning, both of us woke up quite early probably due to our early turn in especially after few glasses of red wine.
Although Dave & I felt that the resort is not as fantastic as it's seem in the website but we both felt that their breakfast buffets really save them this time round! The variety is considered quite a spread compared to those normal hotel or resort. And the scenery is great too :) But too bad I didn't bring my camera while we are having our breakfast so no pictures to show here :p
After our breakfast, we did an early check out and make our way to genting highland for some scenery views. We didn't stop & shop there but instead we went up to pump petrol :p
This time round we really lost our way when we are driving to the capital to meet up with John & his gf, Mel. We took almost an hour before we can finally find our way. They brought us to the newly built shopping mall, Pavillion in KL and had our lunch at their famous Ramen Xiao Long Bao Restaurant, "Dragon-i". My darling even bought me a pair of levis jeans as my X'mas present & I really love it :) Thank you darling! Now I have to crack my brain juice to think of what to buy for him :\ You guys have any ideas what u are getting for ur spouse, please share with me ok? Hahaha...
It's really an enjoyable trip for the both of us. We really cherish our times together over the past weekends. Hopefully there will be more of such opportunities.
