It's the 2nd day since the announcement of M.J's Death. Until today, alot of us still in disbelief that the King of Pop has left the world. I wasn't really a fan of him, but his songs left alot of memories behind when I was younger.
Still remember during my primary school graduation performance, I was chosen to take part in one of the performances with my other classmates and the ending song that we were asked to sing is "Heal the World" by Michael Jackson.
There's a place in your heart
And I know that it is love
And this place could be Brighter than tomorrow
And if you really try
You'll find there's no need to cry
In this place you'll feel
There's no hurt or sorrow
There are ways to get there
If you care enough for the living
Make a little space
Make a better place ...
Chorus
Heal the world
Make it a better place
For you and for me
And the entire human race
There are people dying
If you care enough for the living
Make it a better place
For you and for me
If you want to know why
There's love that cannot lie
Love is strong
It only cares of joyful giving
If we try we shall see
In this bliss we cannot feel
Fear or dread
We stop existing and start living
Then it feels that always
Love's enough for us growing
So make a better world
Make a better world...
Chorus (x1)
And the dream we were conceived in
Will reveal a joyful face
And the world we once believed in
Will shine again in grace
Then why do we keep strangling life
Wound this earth, crucify its soul
Though it's plain to see
This world is heavenly
Be god's glow
We could fly so high
Let our spirits never die
In my heart I feel you are all my brothers
Create a world with no fear
Together we cry happy tears
See the nations turn their swords into plowshares
We could really get there
If you cared enough for the living
Make a little space
To make a better place ...
Chorus (x5)
I'm listening to this song now while I'm updating my blog. Suddenly all my primary school memories are flashing back to me again...
Still remember how our form teacher, Miss Ang arranged all of seatings differently from other classes. We were asked to sit with 2 boys & 1 girl in a middle & those behind were asked to sit with 2 girls & 1 boy in the middle & so on. Becoz of these kind of seating arrangment, schoolmates from other classes always mocked at us saying that our form teacher treated us like primary 1 kid. And how I strive hard to get Top for my Maths in Class, how I was bullied by 2 guys seated beside me during our lessons, how one of them suddenly told me that he like me & how my best friend made him cried in tears :x
Haha.. those were the days. And I would say my primary school life is the most memorable throughout my schooling days. Though I have already forgotten most of their names & faces but it's really a good thing that we were once classmates together :)
Well, enough of my old grandmother story, shall update u what I have done recently.
Thursday night, I went to visit Mazzario with my 2nd sis, Xin to take a look at their Cheong Sam. After so many visits to so many places, I still find that Mazzario CS still my favourite place. Oh yah...Xin brought me to a small japanese foodstall, known as "The Ken House" which is located after Centrepoint & OG. Though it's a small place, but it's fully packed with people. We waited for almost 15 mins before we've actually gotten a place to sit down & place our orders.

I like their egg! It's the same kind as the one in Central! Their Gyoza is nice too! :)
After making a visit to KT, and having the chance to try their famous "Bah Kut Teh", my dad keep saying that he want to bring his friends to try it next time. So in order to quench his "thirst", mum decided to cook a sumptuous "Bah Kut Teh" dinner on friday night!

My mum's version of "Bah Kut Teh"
Though the soup taste is not 100% similar to the one we ate in KT, but I would say mum's version is very delicious too...
Maybe due to this "Secret Recipe"?

Look what I found in the soup! A tiny "Ginseng"
See lah... with such a good chef at home. How am I going to succeed in my slimming programme? How I wish that she can cook plain porridge with beansprouts & salted fish sometimes :x
