A Mummy's Diary - Second Trimester

Finally reached my 3rd trimester!

Well, now is time for me to share my blog on my 2nd trimester :)  I think most of my friends should know the gender of our bb.  Nonetheless, I will still prefer u guys to read on to find out more :p

Thursday, 29th Apr 2010 (16W 2D Old) - Blue or Pink?

BB, tmr your daddy & mummy will be going down to Dr Joycelyn's Clinic to see you again :) This time round, we are going to find out you are our precious baby girl or baby boy :)

We are so looking forward to meet you. Remember, must be a good baby don't hide around & let us know your gender ok? So that Daddy & Mummy can start to buy nice clothing for you :)

Friday, 30th Apr 2010 (16W 3D Old) - Blue it is!

BB, finally Daddy & Mummy get to see you, our little gem :) While Dr Wong is doing the scan, Daddy & Mummy are so excited at the same time. Get to see your small skeleton inside my tummy. Can see that ur fingers are developing well & You are starting to clench ur fist,  moving around and elbowing mummy though I can't really feel it. Dr Wong also says that there is plenty of water for you to swim around :) We are glad u are cooperative enough to show us ur true identity.

Well, we are really happy especially ur daddy to know that you are our little prince :) Both of us are very excited in meeting you. However, we will be doing a detailed scanning on 26th May & if everything is fine, we can start to shop for your stuffs :)

Wednesday, 26th May 2010 (20W 1D Old)- Detailed Scanning!

After almost a month of awaiting, we finally get to see our bb again! :) Done a detailed scanning on bb today. So far so good, everything looks fine & bb is growing at a healthy rate.

And is confirmed that he is a BOY! Well, the only concern is that BB has a big head & tummy & long limbs! Dr Wong even commented that despite my small size, my BB seems to be a bit of overweighed! :x

I would say now with the advanced medical technology, they can even count BB's weight juz by measuring the size of his body parts! Currently, BB is now weighed 366g which is overweighed by 66g! Coz average BB in 5 months is actually 300g!

Opps... must be too much buffet feasts for him this month! Well, as for me I'm heavier by 3Kg! Finally hit the record of 50Kg for the first time in my whole life! :x

Don't know if I should be happy or sad about my weight gained :p Anyway, Dr Wong will monitor BB's weight again nxt month. She said that if he gets too overweighed nxt month, I will have to go on diet! :p

Can't wait for the Great Singapore Sales to come! Can start to shop for bb's stuffs :) YEAH! But still need to pray for him till the day he is born :)

Sunday, 6th Jun 2010 (21W 5D Old) - Shopping Time!

Finally started our first shopping for BB at the Motherhood Fair in Expo! It's a very last minute decision, as I just came to know about this fair yesterday. But I'm glad that we still went for it even though the distance of travelling is quite far especially for us living in the west side.

Bought some baby toiletries, Avent bottle sterilizer, socks, blankets, cloth diapers etc. Will shop the rest in Msia :) Mummy & Daddy are so tired now. Gonna prepare dinner soon! :)

Monday, 14th Jun 2010 (22W 6D Old) - Happy 71st Month!

BB, today marks the day ur Daddy & Mummy got together for the 71st month! Yesterday, we really have a great time shopping in town with you. Hmm... Father's Day is coming & Mummy is thinking what to buy for ur daddy for his first father's day on behalf of you.

Anyway, last night this little boy of ours is really active. He has been kicking hard enough during our bed time. I even got hubby to get a feel of BB's powerful kicks! :x And Dave is really amazed enough by it! Initially, we wanted to sleep but after all the excitement, end up we were talking to our BB for almost half an hour before we actually turn in!

Dave was trying to place his ear over my tummy to "hear" his kicks & he even wanted to take a look at my tummy to see if the BB is moving! But BB is still too small for us to notice with our bare eyes!

Oh yah, this morning woke up feeling a bit nauseous due to gastric pain. Must be due to the small portion of dinner (A cup of milk & Chicken sandwich) last night. But I'm simply juz too tired to wake up at 6am to make hot drink so I just continue with my sleep :p Anyway, will try to have dinner on time nxt time.

Monday, 21st Jun 2010 (23W 6D Old) - Happy Daddy's Day!

Too bad, BB's daddy is oversea yesterday :( But we still manage to call & wish him a "Happy Father's Day!" Keke... Had a great dinner with my in laws last night :) It's a great catch up!

Recently, don't know what's wrong with me keep feeling sneezy, sore & bleeding gums, painful jaws & heartburn! Will see a dentist later for my sore gums & aching jaws. As for the heartburn, will inform Dr Wong & ask her to prescribe me with some medication. If not, I keep waking up in the middle of the night feeling quite unbearable.

As for the cold, I read from some article is known as "Fake Cold" due to the increased blood flow during pregnancy which causes the swelling & stuffiness of the mucous membranes. It is sometimes accompanied by deep snoring sound & chronic cough! No wonder these few nights, I can hear myself snoring away! :x

And BB's kicks has been quite powerful lately! Can start to feel the full-blown punching, kicking, rolling & twisting inside my tummy. It's simply amazing at the rate he is growing! How I wish this week can pass faster so that we can get to see our little gem nxt monday! Yeah! :)

Friday, 25th Jun 2010 (24W 3D Old)- His way of communication :)

I'm now officially into my 6 months pregnancy & my little gem's kicking powers are getting more & more obvious as days passed. Am starting to get on hand the timing of his kicks & the reason for him to kick :)

He loves kicking me when I'm off to bed & he loves kicking me when he is hungry or too full from meals :)

I think that's the only way he can communicate with me & tell me that he is doing fine & having fun inside my womb.

When I'm at my 6th Month of Pregnancy :)

 

Tuesday, 29th Jun 2010 (25W Old) - BB's Growing!

Went to our monthly check up yesterday! I've gained 3.6Kg within one month, currently weighed 54.6kg! Total weight gained from the first trimester till now is 8kg! Shall limit myself to weigh up to 60Kg at the end of my 3rd trimester!

Feels great to know that our BB is growing fast & well :) Can see his flesh is forming up with little small muscle & chubby cheeks! He has a sharp nose from the side view :)

Hubby even requested Dr Wong to print him an extra scan pic so that he can put in his wallet :x We even signed up for Parenting Class in TMC. Dave feels that it's a bit redundant, but I keep insist so he still has to give in to me in the end :p

I always think it's good to attend this kind of classes with hubby to build up a better bonding as a family. Besides the parenting class, I also signed up for Hypnobirthing private class with my sis's friend. Lesson is going to starts on this coming Sunday, 4th July 2010!

Really looking forward to it! Btw, we went for mini shopping yesterday too & bought BB's a car seat (yah.. we know it's a bit early but they are having promotion now, so we decided to invest in a good one esp when we always travel in & out Msia very often).

Now going to hunt for more BB's stuffs but got a bit stucked on what to buy :( Look like BB's stuffs are not cheap & quite high maintenance too! Think I really need to ask for some helps! :x

Wednesday, 30th Jun 2010 (25W 1D Old) - Sleepy Mummy...

Feel so sleepy today... Din really slept well last night as I'm starting to experience Braxton-Hicks Contraction (A bit like menses cramp) due to the growing uterus.

Hopefully it will be fine tonight. Now I just feel like lying on the bed & have a good sleep but why am I still here in the office (-_-)zZz..

Almost forgot! Need to prepare for the monthly pay-check for the workers! :x


Monday, 12th July 2010 (26W 6D Old) - Ending of my 2nd Trimester
It's ending soon, I'm approaching my 3rd trimester tomorrow! Thank god for the blessing upon our baby :) Will continue to pray for him!
