Time flies! Today is Yi Rui's full month!
10 months ago, still remember my first baby scan when he is only 6 weeks & 6 days old and he is still a tiny little dot with a small heart beating inside my womb.
It's amazing how our new baby has changed our life dramatically :) Even though taking care a baby is not an easy task & will be a responsibility for life, but watching him growing up day by day...it's a sense of achievement!
According to Chinese old tales, babies will need to have their first haircut & fingernails trimmed during their full month. So today, I actually helped him to trim his nails while he is having a deep sleep. But careless mummy actually cut his thumb and was bleeding away :( Sigh, but I still managed to finish the rest. Ok, at least a lesson learn. Will be more careful next time round :p
Hubby also helped Yi Rui to cut his first strand of hair this afternoon.
Alright, not very sure what's the morale behind of all these actions. But my mum actually told me to put his fingernails, hair & cord in a red packet to safe keep it. So I guess probably it's some blessing for him :)
Ordered some full month cakes from sweetest moment for my colleagues & relatives today, despite I'm still in Misa. My mum loves the design & the whole layout of the pastries. It even came with a very cute personalized gift card with Yi Rui's pictures :) I'm glad I've chosen this set!
